Reflections on 2017

Another year is behind us, and as I welcome 2018 and all of it's possibilities, I can't help but to take a second reflect back on 2017.

2017 was a big year for me. It was the make or break year. I began my journey into full time status (well full time mom AND full time photographer I should say) in June of 2016. 2017 was my first full calendar year and it was going to be a real deciding factor if I was on the right path. I set my goals and plunged in feet first.

About half way through the year, I did a quick check in on my goals and markers and everything seemed to be going really well. I took some new leaps of faith with a wedding advertising campaign, continued to strengthen my skills with online classes as well as the California Center for Digital Arts, and tried new things that got me pumped and inspired. With one foot in front of the other, things have continued to flow and fall into place. As I now close out the year, I can tell you I absolutely blew through most of my goals and am beyond even where I thought or hoped I would be with my social media following, faithful clients, and now friends. 2017 ended up being the first full calendar year I need to say, "YES! I am DOIN IT!"

2018 is going to be amazing. My goals are to focus in on some of my real passion projects. To also meet new expecting moms, and more newborn babies, to shoot more weddings, and follow my clients journeys though love and life.

This isn't just an occupation, this is a dream. This is a complete leap of faith, and it makes my heart overflow with gratitude for you and your support, kind words, and following.

There are too many amazing pictures from 2017 but here are a few.

And, watch out 2018... I am coming for you!
